Dr. Amandeep Hans

Dr. Amandeep Hans is a board-certified Periodontist. Dr. Hans attended the University of British Columbia where he obtained his BSc., DMD, MSc. and Diploma in Periodontics.

Following dental school, Dr. Hans served as a Dental Officer in the Canadian Forces for 4 consecutive years. He was posted to Halifax, NS and Kingston, ON where he proudly treated the soldiers, sailors, airmen and airwomen that serve our nation. Being in the Canadian Forces allowed Dr. Hans the opportunity to take several continuing education courses and be mentored by Canadian Forces specialists, which advanced his interest in the field of periodontics. Although he loved his experience in the Forces, he released honourably in 2017 to start a three-year residency in Periodontics. Dr. Hans finished his residency and obtained his Board certification in 2020. Dr. Hans also completed a master’s degree during his residency where his research focused on the use of Cone-Bean Computed Tomography for planning of dental implant surgery.

Dr. Hans specializes in all aspects of periodontics and implant dentistry, including management of gum disease, dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting. Dr. Hans also offers IV sedation. His main area of interest is in boney reconstruction, soft-tissue graft and use of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) to enhance surgical outcomes. Dr. Hans continues to advance his knowledge and learn the newest techniques in his field through conferences and continuing education courses.

Besides dentistry, Dr. Hans enjoys maintaining healthy and active lifestyle and riding his motorcycle.
